Wassup!

A 2008 version of the Budweiser ‘Wassup’ commercial from a few years ago. A bit political and cheesy right at the end, but funny nonetheless!

Holiday snaps

After battling the unexpected migraine that came on – of all places – at work yesterday, i’ve got better and spent the evening uploading pictures and videos.

I’ve only got a free account on Flickr at the moment, as the paid account requires you to have a credit card and HSBC won’t let me use mine, so until i get that sorted out – or until i get my head around the Paypal way of paying – then i’ll have to stick to the free account. It’s okay though, you have a monthly allocation of 100MB, meaning i had to trim down the pictures i uploaded, but seeing as next week is November i’ll be back on Flickr to upload some more. The pictures are here.

I’ve started uploading videos on Facebook too, so sometime tonight i should be finished! :)

15 years later!

Unbelievably, the new Guns n Roses album is actually being released next month!

I was initially a bit pessimistic about the whole announcement, but a statement from GnR themselves, coupled with the title single ‘Chinese Democracy’ being released to the radio, and we may be seeing an end to this 15 year old saga.

I’ve heard the new single, There Was A Time and IRS, and while it isn’t classic GnR, it’s still good music. Inevitably it sounds like the Use Your Illusion albums, carrying on the excesses Axl wanted but Slash didn’t (he wanted a more classic GnR sound for the next album).

This is an album there was never any doubt in me getting! And below is a ad I’ve found in The Sun for it.

Back in the UK

That’s it, no more holiday, back in blighty now!

I’ve been struck by how chilly it is back here, 8 degrees last night – it never dropped below a nightly temperature of 20 degrees in Malta!

Back to real life now, work, bills, etc… I’ve got a shedload of pictures both from my camera and my iPhone that’ll appear on Flickr and Facebook when I finally get round to it – plus a good few videos too.

I loved Malta, its definetly a place i’ll want to revisit one day, probably at a similar time of the year too. It was October, but felt like summer over there.

And we had a in flight movie on the plane yesterday, after not having one on the way there. It was Indiana Jones 4, and it was brilliant. As well as making the flight seem shorter, it was bloody excellent movie to boot, and one that i’ll be keen to see on a screen a bit bigger than the tiny plane one!

Hot Hot!

It’s hot and sunny, it can’t be England – that’s right, I’m blogging from Malta!

It’s a few days into my holiday and I’m loving it so far. It is very warm here, certainly more than the low twenties which the weather predicted. I’m sat in a McDonalds in the Coastal resort of Sliema. It’s one of the few places you’re certain to get free Internet. So, with my fanta and fries, here I am!

I’d got to now (half eleven, Thursday morning) without knowing the England result, thank christ for free wifi!

Sliema is better than Valletta. More tourist orientated. Plus there seems to be quite a lot of English shops here, and alongside them are rather dodgy ‘english’ pubs! There is also an Elvis tribute bar in the next town which I may have to visit! ;)

Right now I’m about to leave the air conditioned pleasantness of McDonalds for the hot, hot streets of Sliema. Whoever said ‘it’s a different kind of heat to the UK, it’s not humid’ wants shooting, it’s EXACTLY the same!
